Fusion UV Systems Inc., based in Gaithersburg, Md., has appointed Michael Cook as general manager for its ultraviolet (UV) curing operations and business activities in Europe. Most recently, Cook worked for ten years with Raychem Corp. Fusion UV has also hired new staff members in its China and Japan businesses. Francis Yang Fan is application/service engineer for Fusion UV Shenzhen/South China, where he will cover the South China market, including Jujian province. He previously worked for Loctite China. Fujiko Node has joined Fusion UV's Japan office in custom engineering, where she is responsible for designing engineered UV curing systems. She was formerly with Toshiba, where she designed diesel engines and parts including pistons, gaskets and engine covers, and with Sony HQ Development Center, where she worked on 3-D design simulation and CAD/CAM database management.
