Precise Automation Obtains Machine Vision Technology

A supplier of vision-guided robotic motion controllers with built-in motor drives, Precise Automation LLC of Los Altos, Calif., has signed a license agreement for machine vision technology with CyberOptics Inc. of Minneapolis and Datacube Inc. of Danvers, Mass. Precise Automation will gain access to the source code for a full set of tools, including Datacube's MaxVision tool kit and an object locator. CyberOptics, in turn, will garner improvements made by Precise for a limited time. Precise intends to advance the machine vision tool set and to integrate it with its motion control language.
