Greenfield Networks Raises $21.5M
Sep 2004
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 20 -- Greenfield Networks Inc., a developer of Ethernet switching silicon products, announced today it has completed its third round of private venture funding, raising $21.5 million. New investor JPMorgan Partners is leading the round, and existing venture partners Sequoia Capital, Global Catalyst Partners and Walden International are participating.

The company said the $21.5-million investment, which brings the total funding in Greenfield to $48 million, is one of the largest single private investments in a semiconductor company in the last few years.

"This capital enables the company to aggressively pursue additional market opportunities and accelerate expansion plans," Greenfield said in a statement. It expects to reach profitability next year.
