Memsic Inc., a North Andover, Mass., provider of CMOS-based microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) accelerometers and sensors, has announced an agreement to make its technology available to the automotive market via Texas Instruments' Sensors & Controls business. The companies will work together to develop new automotive-specific products, which Memsic will fabricate exclusively for Texas Instruments from its new facility in Wuxi, China. . . . Polytechnic University has begun distance-learning classes online leading to a master's degree in electrical engineering. The admissions policy is identical for applicants of the online degree and traditional degree programs offered at the school's Brooklyn, N.Y., campus and graduate centers on Long Island and in Westchester County. Concentrations include computer engineering, telecommunications and networking, signal processing, systems and control, electronics and VLSI, fields and waves, plasma and atmospheric physics, power systems and energy and wireless communications.
