InnovaQuartz Purchases Multimode Fiber Unit

Photonics Spectra
May 2005
InnovaQuartz Inc. has acquired 3M Co.'s TECS multimode optical fiber production business in West Haven, Conn., and will relocate the unit to its new fiber draw facility in Phoenix. For use in high-energy laser delivery, the fiber will complement InnovaQuartz's high-dimension-precision fiber production capabilities. To be renamed IQinc TEQS, the multimode fiber will be available in the second quarter. Based in St. Paul, Minn, 3M will continue to sell fiber optic products through its Communication Markets Div.
