Aegis Spins Off RedShift Systems
In Massachusetts, RedShift Systems Corp. of Waltham has spun off from Aegis Semiconductor Inc. of Woburn to operate as an independent company. RedShift's technology can transform many standard commercial cameras into thermal cameras, enabling manufacturers to build on existing CMOS/CCD sensors to improve device performance and to reduce cost. It has thermal imaging applications in the military and industrial sectors, as well as in firefighting, automotive safety, law enforcement and video surveillance. Aegis, a supplier of wavelength monitoring and control systems, has provided seed financing to RedShift.
