In the UK, Pacer Components plc of Reading has acquired the distribution unit of Rocotech International Ltd. of Gerrards Cross. As a result of the transaction, Pacer is now the exclusive distributor for certain product lines from LightPath Technologies Inc. of Orlando, Fla., including diffraction-limited molded aspheric lenses, and from B&W Tek Inc. of Newark, Del., including miniature portable Raman spectrometers. It also will represent component lines for Access Laser Co. of Marysville, Wash., and for Brimrose Corp. of America in Baltimore, including acousto-optic and fiber optic tunable filters.

A three-year program to transfer technical capabilities and product and marketing technology from Rocotech to Pacer has been established.
