Boston Instruments Acquires Pro2Kem

CHELMSFORD, Mass., Aug. 7, 2006 -- Boston Instruments LLC announced that it has acquired Pro2Kem Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Boston Instruments was formed in March 2006 to acquire analytical and life science instrument companies; Pro2Kem is its first acquisition. According to Boston Instrument CEO Tim Cetto, "Pro2Kem was established to develop and commercialize novel microengineered analysis systems developed by Dr. Roger White for the determination of biopolymer structure. These will include high performance multichannel laser light-scattering detectors and a range of high-speed size separation systems for measuring molar mass, size and conformation distributions."

Pro2Kem's headquarters will be collocated in North Chelmsford with Boston Instruments. For more information, visit: www.bostoninstruments.net
