Sydor Optics Moving to New Rochester Facility
Precision flat-surfaced optics fabricator Sydor Optics will begin its move to new headquarters this week from its original Rochester, N.Y., home of nearly 40 years to a new 26,000-sq-ft building at 31 Jet View Dr., Rochester, NY 14624. The company's phone and fax numbers and e-mail addresses will remain the same. Sydor said it will begin the four-day move of its administrative offices Thursday. The production side will begin its relocation June 25, a process expected to take less than two weeks. While Sydor's e-mail system will be functioning, its phones will not be working from 5 p.m. June 22 to 8 a.m. June 25. An additional construction project will begin this month at the new facility to add another 12,000 sq ft to house its calcium fluoride and magnesium fluoride operations, expected to be moved in November.
