Yole Développement Announces MEMS Data

The market research and strategic consulting company Yole Développement of Lyon, France, has published a market report on the microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) industry in 2006. According to the released data, Innovative Micro Technology of Santa Barbara, Calif., had the highest sales among MEMS foundries, with a total value of $21 million. Cumulative sales of the top 10 equaled $157 million, representing a global market growth of 35 percent from 2005. More than 30 companies in Canada, France, Japan, Sweden, the US and other countries produce MEMS devices.
