VIT Technical, UC Berkley Join in Transfer Project

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, in Espoo, and the University of California, Berkeley, have begun a three-year project to transfer microscale devices made on glass or silicon to analytical devices applicable for mass production by roll-to-roll printing. That technology will reduce price and increase speed, which could lead to large-scale use of biochips in applications including diagnostics and environment and food safety testing.
