Former Schott Exec to Lead EO's European Operations
Dr. Thomas Kessler has joined Barrington, N.J.-based industrial optics and optical components supplier Edmund Optics (EO) as vice president of European operations, the company announced. Kessler will be based at EO's offices in Karlsruhe, Germany, and will be responsible for all sales and distribution operations and for opening additional regional field sales offices throughout Europe. For the past 13 years, Kessler has worked for Schott in Mainz, Germany, most recently for its advanced optics business as director of product management, sales, marketing and supply chain. He earned his master's degree and PhD in physics from JW Goethe-University in Frankfurt/Main.
