Cook Urological Inc. of Spencer, Ind., has formed a strategic alliance with Convergent Laser Technologies of Alameda, Calif. The agreement will enable the Indiana-based company to distribute its partner’s variable pulse width holmium lasers and laser fibers for kidney stone treatment. Surgeons can use the systems to ablate and coagulate soft tissue as well as to disintegrate stones using a push button to switch laser functions.
