RainDance Technologies Inc. of Lexington, Mass., has been awarded a grant from the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center. Given to the company and to Dr. David Weitz of Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., the grant provides $250,000 per year for three years. The money will be used to develop and demonstrate the use of a fluorescence-activated cell sorter for the collection of biochemical information about individual cells.
