Imaging Diagnostic Systems Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has been issued a patent for its laser imager for small laboratory animals for pharmaceutical and other applications. This patent adds the concept of a second laser emitting at a longer wavelength to provide a geographic reference for the fluorescence image. The original patent covers computed tomographic fluorescence imaging of small animals.
