Affymetrix Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., has launched the Collaborations in Cancer Research Program, an alliance between the company and up to 30 leading European cancer researchers who will perform microarray-based investigations. Affymetrix will provide partial funding, expertise and supplies to develop new approaches to elucidating cancer mechanisms and to accelerating discoveries in more than 10 forms of cancer.
