In California, Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc. of Hercules has extended its development and manufacturing agreement with Beckman Coulter Inc. of Fullerton by eight years. The former company will develop hepatitis B envelope antigen and antibody immunoassays as well as an HIV combination assay for use with UniCel and Access immunoassay systems produced by Beckman Coulter.
