Mass spectrometry company Analytica of Branford Inc., based in Branford, Conn., has been bought by PerkinElmer Inc. of Waltham, Mass. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed, but the latter company said that the acquisition will greatly enhance its human and environmental health portfolio as well as its intellectual property holdings in the field of mass spectrometry and ion source technology.
