Fianium.jpgFianium has introduced its FP1060-HE high-energy ultrafast fibre laser. Based on a mode-locked model, it can deliver pulse energies >10 μJ with pulse durations to below 20 ps in challenging environments. The platform is based on a modular design with a compact remote optical head that offers users custom configurations within an industry-standard 19-in. rack-mount laser chassis. Its external modulator permits pulse repetition rates from single-shot to 20-MHz, and it enables flexible pulse shaping and burst-mode operation. The device is suitable for processing materials such as polymers, glasses, organic tissue and reflective metals.
