In Berkeley, Calif., the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory has been granted $40.3 million in funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This grant is in addition to the $115.8 million the laboratory received in March from the US Department of Energy Office of Science. The new funds will go to five projects at the laboratory, including equipment improvements to the Advanced Light Source, which will total $11.3 million.
