Buyers, those of you looking to source quality electronic components, LEDs, other fiber-optic products should now have by now headed off to Hong Kong! Global Sources' China Sourcing Fair – Electronics and Components – is currently underway, up to October 15th, at the sprawling AsiaWorld Expo, which is located at the next MTR station after the Hong Kong Airport. So, all you do on landing at Hong Kong Airport is to exit the airport and make your way to the Airport Express train station – located just outside, buy a train ticket for the AsiaWorld Expo station and hop into the next train headed toward that direction! Buyers are sure to be spoilt for choice as far as optoelectronics products are concerned. For instance, Foshan NationStar Optoelectronics Co. Ltd. is providing interconnection technology, with a product line-up that includes fiber-optic cables and LEDs. Jian Li Feng (Shenzhen) Optoelectronics Technology Co. Ltd. has a line-up of high-power LEDs, LEDs, SMD LEDs, etc. Shenzhen Guoyexing Optoelectronics Co. Ltd. is offering a host of high-power LEDs, LED displays, LED modules, LEDs, SMD LEDs, etc. Yet another Shenzhen, China-based company – Shenzhen Lucky Optoelectronics Tech. Co. Ltd., is offering LED displays. I will be briefly mentioning some of the specific products in subsequent posts. Since this is a show focusing largely on China-based suppliers, buyers are likely to run into most manufacturers or distributors from that country. Do not really worry about the quality of the products, dear buyers – if there weren't any quality suppliers – they simply won't be there at the show! The reason being, Global Sources does a verification of the suppliers it works with, and generally, who participate in these shows. Now, let me spoil you a bit more for choice! Take the MTR down to Hong Kong station, and change to another MTR on to the Wanchai station. There, you could simply walk down to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, where the Hong Kong Electronics Show opens on Oct. 13 and runs on till Oct. 16! Here, you'd be surely lost – I mean – among suppliers! The sprawling HKCEC will also be home to some of the top suppliers of optoelectronics products across Asia – China, definitely, Hong Kong SAR, as well as Taiwan, Korea, and even Singapore and India.
