At the fourth Photovoltaic Fab Managers Forum, Semi PV Group Europe, a special-interest organization that serves the photovoltaic (PV) supply chain, announced the formation of the European Crystalline Cell Technology and Manufacturing Group. Consisting of eight crystalline solar cell manufacturers – Q-Cells, Deutsche Cell, Bosch Solar Energy, Schott Solar, Sovello, Sunways, SolarWatt/Systaic Cells and Solland – the group plans to address the technology challenges facing the PV industry. It has established a crystalline solar cell technology road map up to the year 2020.
