Group publisher joins Photonics Media

As we at Photonics Media celebrate the laser’s 50th anniversary this year, we remain mindful of the impact of such important technological advances on the industries and the lives they touch. For the past 60 years, Laurin Publishing Company and Photonics Media have chronicled the greatest strides in harnessing and focusing light for industry and life, and we will continue to do so into the foreseeable future, sharing information by utilizing the latest tools and technical advances available to the publishing industry.
As we move forward together into this bright future, I am pleased to announce that Karen A. Newman has joined Photonics Media as group publisher, bringing more than 10 years of experience in print and digital media and content development. Before joining Photonics Media, Karen held both editor and publisher titles for business-to-business media serving global medical, scientific and technical audiences.
Most recently, she served as group editor-in-chief for Allured Business Media, a business-to-business publisher of content in the cosmetics and toiletries, flavor and fragrance industries.
