ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 10, 2010 — Optical components and assemblies manufacturer LightPath Technologies Inc. announced Tuesday it has hired two managers for its Shanghai, China-based business, LightPath Optical Instrumentation Co.

Frank Yuan joins LightPath Optical as its quality assurance manager. A certified ISO auditor to quality management systems, he has worked with many multinationals, assisting them in manufacturing components and utilizing process control.

Joe Wang was hired as materials manager; he has spent the past 15 years in supply chain management, inventory control and customs positions for multinational corporations.

“By shifting approximately 95% of our total production to Shanghai, along with making key process improvements, we have significantly reduced our costs and increased our gross profit margins for 2010,” said Jim Gaynor, CEO of the US-based company. “The recruitment of a strong leadership team is indicative of the continued growth we foresee on a global basis.”
