Asphere Manufacturing Expansion

Barrington, N.J.-based Edmund Optics Inc., an optics, imaging and photonics technology provider, has improved its ability to serve the growing market for aspheric lenses. To increase production and metrology precision, it recently purchased new equipment that places it among the top asphere fabricators worldwide, the company said. The machines were bought for its Pennburg division and are anticipated to increase production capacity by more than 40 percent.
