SemiNex Announces Distributor in Korea

PEABODY, Mass., Dec. 23, 2010 — ShinHoTek has joined SemiNex Corp.’s distribution network as its exclusive distributor in South Korea.

The laser and laser-related products distributor will offer the entire SemiNex product line of high-power laser diodes, including B, C and chip on submount devices, fiber-coupled single emitters and multichip modules.

It also will offer the company’s laser engine, which was developed for low-cost, high-volume applications in the defense and medical markets.

“It’s great to join forces with ShinHoTek to expand SemiNex sales in Korea," said David Bean, president of SemiNex. “ShinHoTek has an extensive network of customers and contacts in the medical and dental markets that are ready customers for SemiNex, and we look forward to expanding rapidly in this market.”

SemiNex designs and supplies semiconductor diode lasers at IR wavelengths between 1300 and 1600 nm in a variety of systems and powers.
