Carl Zeiss Optronics GmbH of Oberkochen, Germany, an optical and optoelectronics product supplier, will deliver stabilized panorama periscopes to the Canadian armed forces. The Peri R17 A2 periscope is equipped with an Attica, a third-generation thermal imager that provides the commander of a Leopard 2 battle tank with night-vision capability for long ranges. The periscope is currently undergoing trials in other user states.
