Excelitas Opens LED Center in China

Optoelectronics supplier Excelitas Technologies of Waltham, Mass., has opened an LED Center of Excellence at its facility in Shenzhen, China. The center will serve as a base for developing and manufacturing the company’s advanced LED-based lighting solutions and for showcasing its innovations and technologies to customers in China. The facility is expected to help customers accelerate innovative and energy-efficient LED-based lighting designs for market sectors such as surgical and dental, hazardous areas, signaling and aerospace. It also will provide the local resources necessary to meet the increased demand for LED-based manufacturing products and equipment in China.
