Under the contract, Elbit Systems of America will provide the US Air Force with a color HMD that includes full helmet tracking capability and effectively meets AFSOC objectives in the near and long term. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas.

The color HMD, which is based on the company’s ANVIS/HUD system, couples helmet display and tracking system technology with color symbology for day and night-vision goggle night missions. The AFSOC CV-22 crew will be able to attain higher levels of situational awareness, allowing crew members to fly heads up and eyes out, the company said.

Elbit Systems Ltd. is an international defense electronics company that develops technologies for defense, homeland security and commercial aviation applications.
