Cobolt Completes Expansion
SOLNA, Sweden, Nov. 9, 2011 — Diode-pumped solid-state laser manufacturer Cobolt AB announced it has completed a 40 percent expansion of its cleanroom production facilities and made investments in new manufacturing and test equipment.
The addition provides the capacity increase necessary to meet growing demand for its laser-based analytical instrumentation products, the company said.
Cobolt's UV, visible and near infrared lasers are built and sealed in ISO:9001-certified cleanrooms for stand-alone use or OEM integration in equipment for fluorescence analysis, Raman spectroscopy, interferometry and range finding.
