Potomac Photonics Adds Capabilities

Potomac Photonics of Lanham, Md., has expanded its microhole drilling capabilities and operations. It has added several new precision laser cutting systems, from the UV to IR wavelengths, for applications including catheter hole drilling, precision alignment of optical fibers, probe card devices and leak test holes. In addition, it has added a Micro-CNC system that mechanically drills holes as small as 100 µm. The company also has developed processes to create precision holes as small as 4 µm in a range of materials of varying thicknesses.
