IPG Photonics of Oxford, Mass., will add 175 employees as part of an $18 million plan to expand its facility by more than 100,000 sq ft, with the help of $1.7 million in tax credits from the state of Massachusetts. State officials recently announced IPG’s tax credit under the Economic Development Incentive Program plus a $2.2 million MassWorks Infrastructure Grant for the town of Oxford, which will enable a sewer extension to the company. IPG, acknowledged as one of the commonwealth’s fast-growing manufacturers, provides high-power fiber lasers and fiber amplifiers for medical, telecommunications, materials processing and other applications
