Aerospace Veteran Helmlinger Joins Labsphere
May 2012
NORTH SUTTON, N.H., May 3, 2012 — Mark Helmlinger has been appointed to the newly created role of remote sensing product marketing manager at light measurement solutions manufacturer Labsphere Inc., a Halma company.

Helmlinger has more than 20 years of laboratory and in-flight satellite imager calibration experience. He will be responsible for helping customers select and customize the company’s remote sensing and imager calibration products.

He also will represent the company at global events and technical conferences, gathering feedback for new product development and application-specific custom systems.

Helmlinger assisted the NASA team early in his career to certify Labsphere’s Spectralon white reflectance material for use in space. He also worked for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., and, later, at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems as a remote sensing scientist and optical calibration specialist.
