Smith Joins Ocean Thin Films
GOLDEN, Colo., July 10, 2012 — Dr. Steve Smith has been appointed Ocean Thin Films’ manager of its SpectroCam multispectral imaging product line.
Smith will lead the SpectroCam team in continuing to grow the company’s multispectral sensing and imaging applications portfolio. SpectroCam is a configurable, video-speed MSI camera with interchangeable filters and image processing software that reduces development times and speeds products to market.
Smith most recently served as an applications scientist at both Olympus America and Agilent Technologies. Before that, he taught anatomy, physiology and cell biology courses at the University of Northern Colorado.
Ocean Thin Films, a subsidiary of Halma plc, designs and produces precision patterned optical coatings, components and assemblies.
