Carl Zeiss Deal Expands Reach in Canada
TORONTO, Jan. 8, 2013 — Carl Zeiss Canada has expanded its reach into the Canadian clinical microscopy market through a new distribution partnership with Inter Medico of Ontario. The deal will become effective Jan. 10.
Under the exclusive agreement, Inter Medico will distribute Zeiss’ clinical microscopy product line to hospital markets and clinical accounts that focus on patient health care and diagnosis.
“Although our growth has been good in the clinical sector with our direct sales strategy, we believe we can address the market on a bigger scale through a distribution strategy,” said Carl Zeiss Canada President Mick O’Brien.
