MANCHESTER, Conn., Dec. 29 -- Scan-Optics Inc. and Maximal Systems Inc. have formed a strategic alliance under which the companies will resell Scan-Optics' DocWise imaging product in conjunction with Maximal Systems' Computer Output to Laser Disk/Enterprise Report Management (COLD/ERM) document management software. Maximal Systems is a privately held software company based in Clearwater, Fla.
