PLEASANTON, Calif., Sept. 6, 2013 — Intelligent robots provider Adept Technology Inc. has officially opened its East Coast application and demonstration center in Amherst, N.H.

The demonstration center allows its customers and integrators to prove out advanced robotic packaging, handling, dispensing or assembling applications in real time using Adept robots and vision guidance and conveyor controls, the company said. All Adept mobile robot models are available at the facility for both commercial and research applications testing.

"It is an ideal location within close proximity to many Adept end users and system integrator partners accessible from several airports," said Vice President of North American Sales Merrill Apter of the Amherst center. "The facility has all the capabilities of our other technical centers and is staffed by Adept application engineers who have extensive expertise in flexible manufacturing, primary and secondary food packaging."

The 5000-sq-ft Amherst facility can provide design, programming, testing and training for all Adept kinematics. It joins the company's other technical locations in California, Germany, France, Singapore and China.
