Tessera Names CFO

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 6, 2014 — Tessera Technologies Inc. has named Robert J. Andersen as its executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Jan. 2.

Andersen will report to CEO Thomas Lacey, who had served as interim CEO since May and who was appointed to the position permanently effective Dec. 10. John Allen, who had served as acting CFO since June 2013, has returned to his position as senior vice president and corporate controller.

Over the past 10 years, Andersen held various sensor financial roles for several computer software and hardware companies, most recently as the CFO and executive vice president of G2 Holdings Corp., d/b/a Components Direct, a privately held provider of cloud-based product life-cycle solutions. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.

Tessera is a holding company with two operating segments: Intellectual Property and DigitalOptics.
