CrossFiber Names Decelle CEO

Mike Decelle has been appointed president and CEO of CrossFiber Inc., a manufacturer of photonic switches for data centers and fiber optics networks.

The new CEO succeeds Hus Tigli, who led CrossFiber from its founding. Tigli plans to retire but will remain an adviser to the company.

Decelle was most recently CEO of Sun Catalytix in Cambridge, Mass., which develops grid-scale storage systems for the renewable energy industry. Before that, he was CEO of several other companies commercializing advanced photonics technologies, including LumenZ, NoblePeak Vision and Apogee Photonics.

CrossFiber said its LiteSwitch products support all data rates and have been tested at 100 Gb/s. The switches are based on proprietary technologies combining 3-D microelectromechanical system (MEMS) mirrors on silicon, noninvasive beam steering (NIBS) and custom application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs).
