DUNCAN, S.C., Sept. 25, 2014 — AFL, a global provider of fiber optic solutions, has named Phil Edwards the new president of its Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA) division.

Edwards will be responsible for leading the company’s operations in the EMEA region, and building the infrastructure needed to support growth for AFL.

Edwards is the former group president of Draka Communications, and also previously served as executive vice president of Telecom Business at Prysmian S.p.A. He is a graduate of Swansea University in the United Kingdom.
