GOTHENBERG, Sweden, Nov. 5, 2015 — Heliospectra AB has received a major order from a European greenhouse grower for its LightBar V101 LED grow light. The purchase order — Heliospectra's largest in Europe — represents the first sale of the product and is valued at $229,000.

Installation of the order is expected in December. The unnamed customer participated in R&D of the product.

"This is a strategically important order from many perspectives," said Staffan Hillberg, CEO at Heliospectra. "We have collaborated with this customer before, and they are a leading player in Europe."

Designed for vertical farming, LightBar V101 is a high-intensity LED grow light with a spectrum optimized for horticulture. The device enables both water and air cooling, and is available in 48- and 72-in. lengths.

Heliospectra specializes in intelligent lighting for plant research and greenhouse cultivation. The company's products combine versatile LEDs with optical, remote-sensing techniques and heat-dissipation technology to create a spectrum specifically adjusted to different plant species and growth stages to better facilitate photosynthesis.
