Siecor Now Corning Cable Systems

HICKORY, N.C., June 1 -- In light of a recent acquisition, Siecor has a new name: Corning Cable Systems. As of today, facilities in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia will adopt the new Corning logo.
Established in 1977, Siecor had been a 50-50-equity venture between Corning and Siemens. According to Corning, Siecor will continue to manufacture fiber optic products with the same commitment to customer service and satisfaction as it always has.
Based in Corning, New York, Corning is A Fortune 500 with two manufacturing facilities in North Carolina. The company is responsible for manufacturing the optical fiber that Corning Cable Systems uses in its optical cable products.
