Artemis, Plessey Partner for Head-Up Display

PLYMOUTH, England, Feb. 12, 2018 — Bespoke optical thin-film coating manufacturer Artemis Optical Ltd. has partnered with Plessey Semiconductors Ltd. to provide next-generation augmented reality head-up displays (HUDs).

The project will utilize Artemis’ expertise in designing and manufacturing thin-film coatings for HUDs with Plessey’s IP-protected monolithic microLED gallium nitride-on-silicon technology.

Artemis Optical manufactures optical thin film coatings for OEMs in defense, aerospace, security, space, photonic surgery, and medical and analytical instrumentation markets. Plessey Semiconductors is a manufacturer of semiconductor products used in sensing, measurements and controls applications.
