SAN JOSE, Calif., April 18 -- ONI Systems Corp. announced a multiyear sponsorship agreement with Duke University's Fitzpatrick Center for Photonics and Communications Systems (FCPCS). ONI's contribution to the school represents a commitment to Research Triangle Park and to advancing optical networking research and education.
    ONI's corporate involvement includes: Membership on the Industry Advisory Board of the Fitzpatrick Center for Photonics and Communications; sponsorship of selected research in FCPCS focused research; recruitment access to Duke's Pratt School of Engineering students; multiple opportunities to enroll ONI employees as students -- including the Pratt School of engineering masters program; and collaboration with Duke Engineering faculty.
