LaserSharp Corp., a fiber laser technology company targeting the optical communication industry, announced that industry veteran Robert Hannemann has been named CEO and has been elected to serve as a member of the company’s board of directors. Hannemann most recently served as vice president of Strategic Business Development for Corning Photonics in Burlington, Mass.
Miranda Tsao, CEO of fiber optic module manufacturer Global Opticom Inc., has been named Chairman and General Manager of the company's overseas facility in Chengdu, China. This position is in addition to her appointment as a member of the board of directors at Global Opticom's Shenzhen operations, also in China. Tsao has been CEO of Global Opticom since its founding at its Sunnyvale location in 1996.
