Raytheon Receives $53 Million for B-Kits

MCKINNEY, Texas, May 28 -- Raytheon Co. has received a $53 million US Army contract for horizontal technology integration second-generation forward-looking infrared (FLIR) B-Kits for fiscal years 2002 and 2003 full-rate production. The FLIR allows improved detection and engagement of tanks and other heavy armored vehicles at greater stand-off ranges over first-generation FLIR systems.
