Cubic Awarded $12 M Army Contract

SAN DIEGO, March 28 -- Cubic Defense Applications, a segment of Cubic Corp., has received a $12 million contract to provide its MILES 2000 laser-based combat training system to US Army troops at Fort Richardson, Alaska. Tec-Masters Inc. (TMI) awarded Cubic the contract through the Army's Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation. Under the contract, Cubic will provide thousands of MILES 2000 components for weapons such as M16 rifles, M24 sniper rifles, M2 heavy machine guns and new Stryker vehicles.
