CAS Medical Systems Awarded Funding for NIRS Device

BRANFORD, Conn., May 29 -- CAS Medical Systems Inc. has been awarded a grant to further develop its near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) technology for a bedside monitor of cerebral blood flow (CBF). The Phase I Small Business Innovative Research program grant is the third grant CAS has received from the National Institutes of Health (NIH)'s National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke for the project, "Optical Cerebral Hemodynamics Monitor."
