Universal Display Receives OLED Grant

EWING, N.J., Oct. 9 -- Universal Display Corp., a developer of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technologies for flat panel displays, lighting and other optoelectronic applications, announced today it has received an award for $750,000 from the US Department of Energy (DOE). Universal Display and its research partners at Princeton University and the University of Southern California will develop and demonstrate a 6- by 6-inch white lighting source using two proprietary white light generation techniques based on their high-efficiency phosphorescent organic light-emitting device (PHOLED)...Read full article
