Nanotechnology Center Planned at Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, Oct. 30 -- One of the nation’s most advanced facilities for nanotechnology research is slated for construction at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue announced at a recent meeting of the Technology Association of Georgia. Initial funding for the Nanotechnology Research Center will be provided by a $36 million contribution from an anonymous donor, Gov. Perdue said, and that amount will be followed by up to $45 million in state support over the next several years.
